The year-round reading programme

The summer programme's companion: twelve themes, running all year, for children aged six to twelve.

L4LL described it as complementing any curriculum and any reading list — built around books families already owned or borrowed from a library rather than books they had to buy. It carried twelve themes of literacy activities, recommended lists of U.S. Latino children's literature, original contributions from award-winning Latino children's authors, and an educator dashboard so teachers and parents could log in and follow a student's progress. It ran in English and Spanish.

The programme lived on a separate WordPress installation under /yearround/, with its own logins for teachers and students. Those are gone; this is a description, not a working programme.
