Latinas for Latino Lit (L4LL) believes that literacy improves lives because it is the bedrock upon which all else rests–academic and professional achievement, as well as financial and health literacy. Simply put, grasping the basics of reading creates economic empowerment, opportunities, stronger communities, and families. Hispanics significantly underachieving in school, beginning with basic reading, galvanized us to develop the first, nationwide, online children’s summer reading program specifically designed to reach, engage, and raise the literacy rates of Latino students and their families.
We are not literary agents or editors. We do not review manuscripts or, at this time, Latino literature. If you are looking for tips on how to get published, we recommend you look into writers workshops.
To submit your book for consideration in next year’s summer reading lists, please send us a note.
Opportunities are available for you, your organization, and company to join our mission today, and invest in our tomorrow.
Your commitment will help us improve lives through improved literacy and educational outcomes, one student and one family at a time.
